Mage starts to have horrific nightmares that always end badly. Mage has questions about her abilities, her father, and often tries to pry answers out of her dead grandmother and Thaddeus, a random ghost that haunts her library.

All her life, Mage has yearned to know what happened to her mother, why she left, and whether she’s still alive. Mage, in addition to her magic, has the ability to see ghosts. Adam slowly joins Mage and her new friend Bernie. Adam Westcott, Mage’s crush, knows and for years they’ve never spoken about the incident but one day that silence is shattered when Mage is forced to use her magic. Mage has a secret, one that could make her even more of a freak than everyone thinks she is and potentially destroy her. Mage doesn’t know why but she’s grown to deal with her loneliness and roll with the punches. People fear her, stare, and steer clear of all association. Plot: Mage has been an outcast for as long as she can remember. I’d almost forget about everything else when I with him. He had a way of making me be in the moment. The whole scene-the water, the historical lighthouse in the distance-it was all so magical and beautiful.

It would be a crime against nature if it wasn’t.Īdam made me feel like I was floating on gossamar wings like a tiny, butterfly fairy in an unseen world. I’d never actually touched his skin, but I refused to believe it was anything but hot to the touch. I could practically hear his skin sizzle against the frigid cooler. I knew others found him appealing, but I wasn’t sure if anyone else saw him the way I did. 5- Well written, gripping, interesting concept, AMAZING, and addictive.Ĥ- Pretty awesome but lacking that special something that takes it to level 5 status.
